A historic family home in east Texas, the original stone facade of the structure was preserved and restored and the interior was optimized for the needs of a new generation of owners. The small rooms of the old house were combined and reconfigured to create more generous living and dining spaces. Windows wrapping the corner of a new sunroom capture the view of a picturesque lake down the hill, and operable transoms allow in the breeze. High ceilings with exposed beams enhance the sense of openness.
